Communicopia

Canada’s leading online strategy and design company for social change

Jason’s Story

Jason Mogus was an enterprising 22-year-old of the .com boom—drawn to the hip, cultural, storytelling space that the World Wide Web promised to be. An activist at heart, Jason joined with friends under the business name “Communicopia” to create online strategies for groups with a social purpose. At Communicopia they were all activists, full of passion and indifferent to profitability. “We ran our business how we lived our politics, supporting those whose objectives advanced our world views. We still do,” explains Jason.

Communicopia — Making Money While Doing Good

I met Jason Mogus in the mid 90's as a very young web keener ready to change the world overnight. His company, Communicopia, was determined to provide web and interactive services to the best triple bottom line organizations in the world.

The Nimble Company

A thought-leading small new media company in Western Canada.

McLean’s Story

For McLean Mashingaidze-Greaves the boundless possibilities of new media were impossible to resist. So he abandoned his lucrative career in television to realize his ideas for the post-television generation. With vision and talent he created a company specializing in online video solutions, a company that could be innovative and agile in responding to the opportunities of the day: The Nimble Company.

Conferences

Renewal works to build, activate and leverage progressive networks. One of the ways in which we do this through is conferences and events that bring together progressive investors, philanthropists, activists, entrepreneurs, and thought leaders who influence societal issues.
